UPDATE: Jacaranda trees in flower

Lusaka is full of these amazing trees that are currently in bloom with bunches of small purple flowers. They are quite a stunning site and cheer me up on my walk home from work on a sunny afternoon. Thanks to everyone for the help in identifying the tree’s name for me.

    Hi Mark
Looks like a Jacaranda. One of my favorites as well.

according to wikipedia it looks like a Jacaranda tree…

Btw thanks for keeping up this blog, it’s great to be able to follow your adventures. It gives me some much needed perspective when facing the day to day frustration of the corporate world.

    • Hey Pierre Luc.

It is just great to know so many people are following my little voyage over here. There are days I am pretty frustrated with the pace of things too. I guess the old saying that “the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” is famous for a reason. Hang in there my friend. We can share war stories when I get back!

      Mark
